In January 2018, Performance Marketer published an article where influencers shared their digital marketing predictions for the new year. In 2017, I noticed strong gamification growth especially with online stores. While gamification can make the customer experience a bit more enjoyable and boost conversions, I can tell it’s still in the early stages. Some of the tools aren’t quite where they should be yet in terms of conversions. However, I expect as the industry keeps growing that the tools will become better optimized to truly make an impact for store owners. It’ll be interesting to see what other apps are created to gamify the shopping experience. We’ve already seen brands like Fabletics crush it with forced quiz taking prior to signing up for their membership allowing them to have a lot of data for every customer that signs up to better personalize their shopping experience.
